Or go straight to the source. e Charlotte region is home to several distilleries— Doc Porter's, Dragon Moonshine Company, Great Wagon Road Distilling Company, Seven Jars Distillery, Southern Grace Distilleries and Muddy River Distillery—where you can sample liquor and buy a bottle to take home. Sip and Shop Like options? Brawley's Beverage, Cra Tasting Room and Growler Shop, Good Bottle Co., Salud Beer Shop and e Hop Shop can steer you in the right direction when it comes to choosing a style. New Kids on the Block In just the last year, the Queen City has welcomed new breweries and taprooms (Hyde Brewing, Resident Culture, Salud Cerveceria and Hoppin', to name just a few); cocktail lounges (such as Sophia's Lounge and e Queen & Glass); and DotDotDot, a sophisticated speakeasy that requires a membership to enter. You can't sip it all in one trip, but there are plenty of reasons to return. A DIFFERENT BREW Booze isn't the only buzz going on in Charlotte.
